SEGA Greyfest

Southeastern Greyhound Adoption celebrates greyhounds each year at Greyfest. Greyhound owners and their hounds gather for a morning and afternoon of fellowship, food and fun. Activities include Blur of Fur fun runs, vendors and presentations.

The Athletes Helping Athlets 5K / 1M Walk, otherwise known as the SEGA 5K, is an annual fundraiser that brings together runners and race walkers with retired racing greyhounds. Participants are paired with "running mates" and have a chance to learn about the "athleticism" of these amazing hounds.

SEGC Lure Coursing

The Southeastern Greyhound Club has a long history of lure coursing meetings for the American Sighthound Field Association (ASFA) and the National Lure Coursing Club (NLCC). The club holds meetings in the Fall and Spring, weather permitting. The meetings include trials, conformations, and fun runs for spectator's greyhounds and other sighthounds.

SEGA and Irish Greyhounds

SEGA has partnered with the Irish Racing Greyhound Trust and Greyhound Pets of America to help find homes for retired racing greyhounds from Ireland. Irish greyhounds usually fly cargo on commercial airlines flights (e.g. British Airways), right below international passengers. Upon arrival, volunteers from accepting organizations meet the greyhounds at international air cargo terminals for processing. They are then transported to local kennels for adoption arrangements.
